Best Subscription Boxes for 2021

Hi there!

Happy Tuesday, hope you all had a fantastic weekend? Yesterday was a big day in the UK, with retail and outdoor-dining making a return for the summer, but here in Ireland, we haven’t made it that far yet! So it’s takeaway coffee and walks with the dog for another few weeks.

Recently I’ve been spending a bit some time doing things for myself because I really miss being surrounded by culture and creativity in London- Kilkenny is just not the same! So I wanted to share some of my favourite subscription services across the UK and Ireland, that have been, both lifting my spirits and bringing a little bit of creativity and beauty to my home!

  1. Craftiosity Craft Kits

Who doesn’t love getting crafty, and what better time than lockdown! This is a perfect box for anyone who likes to get stuck into a project and have something handmade at the end. Craftiosity is a UK based subscription company, who supply monthly limited edition craft kits all over Europe, and even to Australia and New Zealand. The kits contain all the tools and materials needed to create whatever special project is chosen for that month, as well as postcards for your pinboard and online video tutorials.

The boxes are £24.95 with free UK delivery and you can take a look at some of their previous kits here. I received a box with everything required to make a Herringbone Marquetry Clock, which I thought looked super hard at first but it’s actually really therapeutic to make! I’m not finished yet, so I’m going to share the finished product on Instagram when it’s done.

2. FFS

I love this concept, shaving is something everyone does whether we talk about it or not! FFS are a multi-award winning shaving subscription service, with a huge emphasis and concentration on sustainability. As well as running a blade recycling scheme, FFS razors are made from reusable metal and everything is packaged using recyclable materials.

You can have a box delivered every month or every second month, depending on what you prefer and you can even get the handle of the razor engraved for free. Boxes are completely customisable and range from €15-€29. The basic box is €15 for 4 blades and a rose gold handle and you can add other products depending on your needs!

3. Look Fantastic

Look Fantastic have a range of Beauty Boxes, but their monthly subscription box is a must if you love to discover new products every 4 weeks. Here is my unboxing of the March Beauty Box. It’s great to get a selection of new products and brands that you might never have tried before and it gives you a chance to test them out before committing to a full size product! I also love to receive the box as it’s a little treat every month, and it means I’ll spend time on myself- either doing a face mask, hair mask or whatever pamper product comes in the box!

You can use my code, EVAXBB to get 10% off your first box on 3, 6 and 12 month subscriptions in the UK and Ireland!

4. Artful

Artful is a quarterly subscription box for the art obsessed and people who love to create! Every 3 months, Artful send a hand-picked selection of premium tools and materials by a featured artist, for a new creative project. Once you receive your box and join the online community, there is a daily drawing challenge on Instagram and subscribers will be emailed an exclusive video tutorial once a month. So it’s a subscription I can’t wait to start! I haven’t received my box yet but from looking at previous kits, I can’t wait to get into the zone and spend some time with my artistic side!

Subscribing to Artful is also a great way to support the arts as they donate to Create, a charity who run creative projects for disadvantaged and vulnerable people across the UK.

5. Grind Coffee

What can I say…. Coffee is a must-have subscription! Especially if you were used to having London coffee shops on your doorstep like I was. Grind has been one of my favourite brands since moving to London, with the Covent Garden Grind and Shoreditch Grind being my regular haunts. They have so many beautiful locations all over the city with fabulous decor- and I haven’t even gotten to the coffee yet! They serve their own blend of house coffee but they also offer amazing cocktails and light bites at their cafes.

Making my first coffee with the Grind Nespresso capsule was honestly like a taste of London, and all the memories that came with it. To be able to have that taste and feeling, at home, was such a comfort in these testing times! All I want is to be sitting in Grind- any Grind, watching London move around me.

Grind offer a range of coffee on their website, ground, bean and pod coffee! I have a new coffee machine so I went with the Nespresso pods and Grind are even doing their bit to save the planet! Grind coffee capsules are compostable and 100% plastic-free, in other words when composted, they’ll break down in weeks – but even in landfill they’ll break down hundreds of times faster than their plastic cousins.

Use code EVA-R6W7R to get £10 off your first order, plus free shipping (even to Ireland) and you can change, skip or cancel your subscription at any time. But believe me, you won’t want to cancel, I already can’t wait for my next order!

6. New Moon Blooms

Flowers are the ultimate mood booster so how could I not include a floral subscription service! New Moon Blooms is a new Irish flower supplier, who also offer a subscription service- the flower club! Their seasonal flowers club membership is like a box of joy delivered right to your door, weekly, fortnightly or monthly, whatever you choose. Each box arrives filled with one of two types of beautiful, fresh stems with seasonal Irish grown foliage and every week they post a ‘how to’ video, showing you how to arrange that weeks blooms.

If you’ve been following my Instagram account, I have recently been bringing my florist side out, having worked as a florist in Chicago when I lived there. I’m no where near doing weddings but it’s a great way to relax and chill out while being creative with nature!

7. Papergang

For stationery lovers, Papergang is a must-have monthly box! Collaborating with a different artist every month, Papergang create exclusive stationery for subscribers. Whether it’s cards, notebooks or pencils, you will have all your stationery needs covered in a colourful way! Papergang also plant a tree for every four boxes sold, so it’s great to see more and more companies being aware of their carbon footprint!

I hope you enjoyed this blogpost and that you try out one of the subscription boxes! It’s also a great gift for someone -a gift that keeps on giving!

Have a great week!

Eva
