Christmas Gift Guide for Her!

Hi there!

Hope you’re having a great week. We’ve made it to December after the longest Corona-filled year ever! I’m so glad the restrictions are being eased for Christmas because it would have been a total disaster otherwise!

I know most people have already started their Christmas shopping, but if you’re like me, you’re probably no where near finished. So for the people who are struggling to find a gift for a mother, sister, friend or girlfriend, here’s a few suggestions of fabulous (and functional) gifts for her!

  1. Wall Art from Desenio

Wall art is extremely popular this year and I think this could be a really cool gift! Desenio is an amazing brand for all your print and frame needs and why not treat someone to a print of their favourite place, a calming illustration or personalised poster. They have a useful gallery wall feature where you can mix and match different prints and see what colours work together if you want to choose more than one print. I ordered some fabulous Italian prints last summer when I was decorating my room in London and absolutely loved them.

Here are some of the prints and frames I chose from Desenio for both gifts and myself, and the Italian prints I bought last summer.

2. Stocking Fillers from SkinnyDip London

SkinnyDip London is a one-stop shop when it comes to stocking fillers and great secret-santa gifts. They have cute Christmas jumpers, floral iPhone cases, books and so much more! There really is something to suit everyone. And their gifting section, where you narrow your search, depending on budget or who you’re shopping for can make your experience with them even easier! I’ve added some of the pieces I love below, especially my new favourite Christmas Jumper! As well as being super soft, I think it sums up how everyone feels about 2020!

3. Skincare from Eyrebrushed Skin Clinic

Eyrebrushed, as most people know, is my go-to shop for all my skincare needs. I think this year, with the various lockdowns and the lack of events (or literally ANYTHING), I used the time to focus on my skincare, instead of makeup. So why not treat your mum, sister or friend to one of  the Eyrebrushed ‘at-home facial kits’, Image gift sets or a voucher for when the physical clinic can open again! While skincare can be quite a specific thing, there are so many great options on Eyrebrushed.ie where you can find mini-treatment kits and facial kits without buying a large product if your not sure of the person’s skincare needs.

4. Gourmet Popcorn from Popcorn Shed

This is a brand I have recently discovered online and I am really loving it! Popcorn is not something I think of when buying gifts but it’s actually such a great idea. When you’re visiting family or a friend this Christmas and you need something to bring, this is a YUM and original option!

Just think of tucking into a bag of delicious popcorn instead of a box of biscuits or tin of sweets, it’s definitely one way to stand out with your edible gift this year! Popcorn Shed have a range of different products including jars and tins of popcorn, and their amazing popcorn sheds which allow you to buy as many as you want and put them all together in a shed row.

5. Dazzling Jewellery from Sacet

Sacet is another brand that I have found this year! They are an affordable and ethical online jewellery store who use 100% recycled metal for all of their pieces. They are based in the UK, but ship worldwide and they have a huge range of contemporary pieces to suit all budgets. I was drawn to this brand because of their focus on recycled materials and ‘jewellery with a purpose’, and even their packaging is eco-friendly! Especially around Christmas time, there is so much waste, whether it’s with packaging or from gifts themselves , so it’s super important to try and be as conscious and responsible as possible when choosing gifts.

6. The Snug Room Interiors

This is a must for the interior lover in your life! The Snug Room is one of my favourite online (and local!) interior shops. They have fabulous furniture, accessories and lighting and super cute Christmas decor this year. Here are a selection of my favourites, especially the green vases.

7. Spotlight Oral Care

Spotlight is an oral care brand I have always loved and while it may seem like a functional gift, I think everyone would love to receive one of their beautiful Christmas gift sets. I personally prefer to get a functional and usable gift at Christmas because then I know that it won’t sit on a shelf, untouched for months! Their fabulous gift sets are available on their own website and also at Boots. I have the sonic toothbrush and the teeth whitening strips and I love them so much. The sonic toothbrush is the best electric toothbrush I have ever tried and makes your teeth feel like you’ve been to the dentist to have them cleaned! A fantastic investment gift for Christmas 2020 and I’ve already bought one of the sonic gift sets as a gift for someone this year.

8. For the Make-Up Lover!

Brown Thomas have the most beautiful makeup and beauty sets this year, as usual! I know I would love to receive some of the sets below and they really have so many options for every budget. You can go for something like the Nars Mini Lip and Highlighter Duo for €22, the Benefit Gift set for €45.50, the Charlotte Tilbury Pillowtalk palette for €73 or the MAC Holiday Vault for €84.

9.  The Flat Lay Co. Makeup Bag

Another cute functional present! If you’re like me, I always end up carrying around at least 2/3 makeup bags when I’m travelling because I don’t want things to break or get mixed up. But The Flay Lay Co have solved this problem with their drawstring makeup bags. The bags have an interior zipper pocket, eight elastic brush holders and two exterior large pockets for all your makeup, jewellery and beauty needs. The bags are available on The Flat Lay Co or on ASOS and they also have other products too!

10. Haircare

I think haircare is often overlooked as a Christmas gift but there are so many amazing products and gift sets on the market this year and every woman needs haircare! It can be hard to find shampoo and conditioner that works for you but I have recently been using Aussie products, and I’m finding that they are really suiting my hair.

Aussie also have an amazing partnership with WWF this year to help restore over 100,000sqm of land by donating £1 for every bottle sold of 3 Minute Miracle Nourish and Repair, with donations going directly to support the Australian bushfire recovery efforts. The gift sets (shown below) are also included in this incentive, so it’s a great way to support a cause while gift-shopping this year!

So I hope this gives you some help when shopping this year! If it was me, I would be happy with any of the gifts in this blog!

Have a great week, enjoy putting your Christmas tree up and Happy Shopping!

Eva
