Hi Guys!
It literally feels like so long since I’ve even opened my WordPress app and started to write! Unfortunately my blog has taken a bit of a back seat with work being so busy and obviously all the travelling I’ve been doing. I always have these great plans to write while I’m on the airplane or train or wherever, but to be honest, most of the time I’m too tired or have no motivation to start. But as you might have seen on Instagram, I was shortlisted in the Best Lifestyle and Best Newcomer categories of the Beauty Blog Awards 2019 and I’m now a finalist in the lifestyle category! It’s so lovely for my blog (and me!) to be recognised as there are some other amazing bloggers both in my category and the other categories. Unfortunately, I don’t think I will be able to make it home for the awards night as it’s on a Wednesday and obviously that isn’t ideal with work, but it’s still great to be included in spirit!
The past few weeks have been some of the busiest yet with work, but in the midst of the craziness I managed to escape home for over a week! I was in Liverpool for two days with AppleMusic and then flew straight from Liverpool back to Dublin and worked from home for a few days which was so handy because it means I get to prolong my trips home and makes it more worth while when I go! It’s quite rare to get a job that allows you to work from home and it was great to be able to do it so soon after starting the new job, so it really has made settling into London much easier.
One of the highlights of my week home was the Ariana Grande concert on Wednesday 25th. My sister and I got tickets for our birthdays, so the concert was my main reason for being home during the week. With the concert being on a Wednesday, there was only so many ways I could figure out coming home with work, so it made sense to just make a week of it, work a bit and also fit in some other stuff I had in the diary!
I was delighted to be able to have time to go out and visit my fabulous friend and makeup artist Agnes Kealy who did my makeup on Thursday for an event in Eyrebrushed Skin Clinic that night. Agnes is an amazing makeup artist and can create whatever type of look you are going for. My personal favourite is when she does a natural look and the way she can shape my brows is just 👌🏼🙌🏼
Here is the look she created!
As I said, we also attended the Yonka event in Eyrebrushed Beauty and Skin Clinic Thursday evening to see the french brand, which is new to Eyrebrushed, in action. There was a Yonka Hydralessence facial demo on the night as well as scrumptious nibbles from Truffles Restaurant across the road! We also got a fabulous goodie bag, with mini Yonka products, a Yonka headband, a bee bomb- to plant wild flowers for bees and a discount voucher from K Kajoux jewellery. I bought two products on the night, including the Gommage exfoliator which has been brilliant since I started using it, which meant that I received a voucher for a mini-hydralessence facial so I can’t wait to pop in and use it!
And how fabulous does Agnes look! I’m such a fan of these jeans at the minute but I can’t seem to find a pair that fit right, so any website/brand suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
After a busy week working from home and going to events, I took a much needed two days off and went away with my boyfriend for the weekend. Obviously it’s hard because we don’t live in the same country, so it’s nice to get to spend time away together. We went to Faithlegg Hotel and Spa in Waterford which was super close, so no long car journey and it was so relaxing to just chill and eat all around us.
I think that’s all my updates for the time being, I hope to get some serious blog inspiration soon so I can start posting more regularly!
Don’t forget to keep an eye on my instagram for all the daily adventures!
Have a great week!
Eva
