Life after College/ November Wishlist!

Hi Guys,

Hope everyone is having a lovely week! I started this blog yesterday and reading back over some of the things that I wrote…… I’m glad I have a better mindset today! I think everything just started to get on top of me yesterday and I was trying to figure out my whole life in one day! I’m the type of person that tries to do 10 things at the one time and I’m not the most patient person either, so you can imagine my frustration when things aren’t working out or making any progress.

For anyone who doesn’t know, I finished college in May and after that I went straight to Cannes for a few weeks and then Chicago on a J1 for the summer, so I was really busy all summer and I had a absolute ball! Luckily since I came home, I’ve had lots of things on between events and bits for the blog and also in the music aspect of my life so I can’t complain. But November was always the month that wasn’t really factored into my “me being at home” plan and I’m not the type of person to sit around and do nothing. So I think my motivation hit a bit of a low this week and I was really wondering what I’m at! I still obviously don’t have the answer but I’ve been a lot more productive today so I feel like I’m starting to get back on the bandwagon and keep going for another while. And I hope I don’t sound like I’m complaining- I’m not at all, I’m so lucky to be able to take this time to figure out what I want to do and enjoy life at home for a while- a while that’s getting shorter by the minute as cabin fever is setting in! But I do think it’s good to get it out of the system and I know there’s probably others who are in similar situations to myself and it’s just a bit of reassurance to know that you don’t need to have your life figured out straight away. I think fairplay to the people who do and who have 5/10 year plans but I’m not that type of person and it doesn’t bother me- yet! I think there’s a lot of pressure put on young people when they finish college to get a job immediately and start working. For the first few weeks when I came home in September, I couldn’t go anywhere without being asked “What are you doing now?” and it nearly made me feel like I should have a definite answer or a full time job or something. So the moral of the story is, it will fall into place eventually. I’m not saying you don’t have to work for things, because you do, but I think everything works out in the end- I’m living by that anyway!

So as usual, what do I turn to when I’m stressed only shopping! There’s so much fab gear online and in the shops at the minute though and I’m really trying not to spend too much because black Friday is coming up and most of the stuff will be on sale. But I’m also trying to pick up a few new bits to bring on an exciting trip after Christmas so I technically have a bit of an excuse!

Anyway here’s a few of the bits tempting me at the minute with the links attached. As I said, Black Friday is coming up so keep an eye on all the sites/shops to get early discounts etc. I think River Island also have 15% off winter boots at the minute too so you could use that if you need a new pair.

Enjoy xx
